Harbor Maintenance Fees (HMF) | The fee is struck at 0.125% of the value of the commercial cargo shipped through seaports only. |
Haulage | Transportation services locally. |
Hazardous | Surcharge associated with dangerous goods; dependant on class. |
Hazardous Goods | Goods that, as a result of a traffic accident, will harm the health or life of people and/or the environment. Also called Dangerous Goods. |
Heavy Lift Surcharge | Surcharge if a container is overweight and requires lifting on a rail. |
High Cube (Hi-Cube, HQ) | A container type with a capacity of over 40 feet. |
House Bill of Lading | A bill of lading issued by a freight forwarder for consolidated sea freight shipments. |
