Trade Expo Indonesia 2023 took place in Tangerang, Banten, on October 18-22. The SeaRates team was invited to the city of innovative solutions to join this year's "Sustainable Trade For Global Economic Resilience" theme as part of a significant event organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Trade.

Importers and investors from global industries were eagerly awaiting the start of the conference to enhance their commercial communities and expand their trade and partnership networks. We were all geared up to join the discussion on investment trends in Indonesia and globally, the accompanying challenges and forecasts for 2024, and many other topics on the agenda. The conference was held at the renowned Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD City.

Our two-day experience at Trade Expo Indonesia 2023 was full of rich and valuable community insights. The central theme of the conference, "Sustainable Trade For Global Economic Resilience", was to highlight the opportunities for cooperation with the country's domestic industry and investors from all over the world. Trade Expo Indonesia 2023 is held annually with the support of the Ministry of Trade to promote sustainable development of industries in future cooperation.
The program of the Trade Expo Indonesia 2023 conference was very intense. We met and spent meaningful face-to-face time with representatives from the apparel, textiles, digital technologies and services, chemicals, energy, industrial products, medical devices, and healthcare industries.
The global business community was united by business forums and international seminars discussing such relevant topics as:
- general opportunities and advantages of world ports in the global supply chain;
- ways to improve and strengthen trade relations between the world's industries;
- the digital footprint of technology in global logistics and trade;
- opportunities for advanced trade processes for a variety of industries (IT services and consulting, medicine, grocery, etc.);
- requirements and approaches to meet the needs of shoppers around the world;
- eco-friendly initiatives for global markets: spreading awareness of environmentally friendly and sustainable products;
- methods of improving trade through digital economic solutions;
- and much more.
