DCL Shipping line
Direkte Container Line, einem Vorgängerunternehmen, wurde im August 1978 gegründet, um die Bedürfnisse der Ozeantransport australische Importeure, die Lebensmittel aus der US-Hersteller kaufen, zu bedienen. Durch die Nutzung des Übergangs in die Schifffahrt zu Containerisierung war DCL anbieten zu können kleinere US-Exporteure die kostengünstigste Weg, um ihre Waren zu den internationalen Märkten zu versenden. Erste Handels Service von der Westküste der USA, Australien / Neuseeland zügig ausgebaut, um den gesamten US-und weltweiten Märkten zu decken.
DCL ist heute das größte nicht-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC), nach den Zahlen im Journal of Commerce veröffentlicht.
DCL has received the President's "E" Award for Excellence in Exporting, in honor of significant contributions to US export efforts. We have also received the "E Star" award for continued leadership in promoting US exports to worldwide markets.
DCL, through its affiliation with NACA Logistics (USA) Inc. provides a network of offices and receiving terminals across the United States and Canada with branches or subsidiaries in 86 countries around the world. NACA's corporate office is located at 857 E. 230th Street, Carson, CA 90745. The total number of employees is over 500, with approximately 350 based in the United Sates.
