Livestock Logistics

Livestock are animals that are important for agriculture and (on a larger scale) the agro-industrial complex of entire countries. This category includes, for example, cattle, pigs, goats, sheep. Some animals are valuable because they give milk, some of them are a labor force for performing certain tasks, and some are used for the production of meat goods.

Livestock Vessels

Modern marine logistics has certain livestock vessels that are ideal for transporting such animals. These shipping vessels ensure the safe travel of livestock over long distances. They create all the necessary conditions for the animals. Firstly, they get enough free space. Secondly, ventilation systems provide a constant flow of fresh air. Thirdly, automated and manual feeding systems allow animals not to suffer from hunger.

Transportation of “live cargo” requires compliance with strict rules, which are constantly monitored by the authorities of the countries. The ships used in modern logistics fully comply with these international standards.

Before transportation, animals undergo veterinary checks. The conditions on the ships minimize the risk of diseases. In addition, the design of the ships and the ship's crew do everything possible to reduce the level of stress in animals and ensure the most humane treatment, as required by international standards.
