October 2021 Development Release: Empowering business users

We appreciate your interest in SeaRates! Each month, we release new features, improvements, and bug fixes. Subscribing to our SeaRates Blog Feed will notify you when a new release becomes available.

The following are the most recent changes you should be aware of.

New providers in the Tracking System

We’re proud to say that we have added support for four more providers in October:

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics

Laurel Navigation

Nippon Express

Odyssey Logistics

We now support a total of 119 carriers and 12 leasing companies, making our platform unique in its ability to support a wide variety of providers.

You can find the updated list of shipping lines here.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce the release of our latest upgrade to the API Tracking System. Now, as part of the capability of our Route Tracking API, it is able to get AIS data on the vessel transporting the container/containers. Our API response is shown on the screen below.

New features and improvements in Ship Schedules

We are excited to announce the addition of a new function to Ship Schedules. Our users will now be able to track the schedule by vessel. SeaRates offers the most complete sailing schedule information, whether you're planning container bookings or evaluating vessel movements. Our schedule data is complete, comprehensive, and constantly updated, making it accessible to logistics experts at any time and from any location.

In addition, we have added a schedule tab to our filter, which allows our users to track the ship's schedule from our home page.

We’re proud to say that we have added support for four more providers:

CNC

ANL

APL

Sealand

Blog subscription option

Now that you've subscribed to our newsletter blog, you can get our latest news and updates.

If you just subscribed, you will get an email notifying you that you have been added to the blog's newsletter list; if you mistakenly subscribed, you may unsubscribe.

Additionally, you will get a weekly email with our most recent articles and top posts from the previous week to ensure you don't miss anything.

New map to our autocomplete

We've updated our map so that when you hover your mouse over a specific port or destination, you'll be able to view the location of that port or destination in more detail. We did this to ensure that you do not make a clerical error in identifying the correct location for transportation.

Alpha (SCAC) Codes page

We've added a column regarding abbreviations to our Alpha Codes page. This will assist you in identifying the shipping company in our Tracking System API, as well as in finding relevant data about the shipping company. For further information, please visit this page.

And that should give you enough things to do until we're back with the next update. As always, it shouldn't take us long.
