How to get started?
SeaRates offers two ways to access the application from the website's main page. In the first case, you need to click on the Tracking button, enter your container, and press Search. You can also start your journey with the tool through the Tools section and select Container Tracking. We are now set up and ready to proceed to the next stage!
Among all the IT tools for logistics, the Tracking System is one of the most easy-to-use digital solutions. You just enter your Container, Booking number, or Bill of lading and press the Search button. With the help of the tool, you can obtain transportation data with one click:
- get information on the shipment – on the map, you can see the route of your container, all critical events, and its statuses (planned, in transit, delivered, unknown)
- track your vessel and monitor all the crucial metrics
- plan your supply chain and shipping operations with ETD/ATD or ETA/ATA.
For tracking by booking number and bill of lading, in the Container tab, you can check the information regarding each container related to this booking or bill of lading, as well as shipping data.
If you don’t see any information after entering the shipment number, then our auto-detect option can’t determine the shipping line. In this case, we recommend you go to the ‘Wrong shipping line’ field and click the ‘Change’ button. Then select the correct shipping line from the drop-down list. With our tool, you get access to over 170 shipping lines for improved logistics management.
How to manage your containers within the tool?
To make your experience with the tool even smoother, SeaRates allows you to save your container tracking data into the dashboard. In case you want to save them, click on the ‘Follow’ button. If you need to update the information on your shipment, then click on the ‘Update’ button.
Furthermore, you can add tags to your containers (e.x. booking number, PO number) to sort them easily and fast. After, you will have the ability to filter shipments using a variety of parameters, including shipment number, updated at, date range (from and to), as well as by shipment status or shipping line.
Additionally, if you prefer not to input each shipment number individually, we offer a feature for uploading an Excel file with your shipment numbers. Once uploaded, our system will provide you with a response in Excel format, detailing information on all your shipments, including events and more.
