How to add FCL rates in Logistics Explorer?

This is also an answer, how to add Port-To-Port rate in Logistics Explorer. First, go to your Virtual Office and choose the Rates & Tariffs tab. Select Sea, then – FCL. Although FCL can be either used for multimodal transportation, the menu holds it in the Sea category, for some common understanding. Still, you can add not only Sea, but also local fees and even Port-To-Door, Door-To-Port and Door-To-Door services (see an appropriate question), as well as adding trucking FCL services from the separate section.

You have 2 options of adding your rates:
1. Add rates manually at the Virtual Office page.
  • Login to your account using your Username and password.
  • You will then find a tag with a person. Click on the person and you will enter into the Virtual Office.
  • You will find various options under the menu on the left side. Click on the Sea in the Rates & Tariffs tab.
  • Select the type of transportation - FCL
  • Select Tariff.
  • Click on the Add Rates tab and add rates manually; or Click on the Excel tab and drop your excel document.
2. Add rates via Rate Managers (DFA Premium members and Vendor Premium accounts only). Contact our Rate manager and share your rates with him.
You can also view and navigate between all your rates added by different shipping lines by opening the “Rates Archive” drop-down list.

IMPORTANT: don’t forget to check the appropriate column if the OTHC or DTHC (or both) are included into your Port-To-Port rate, so that to correctly show either the rate is FIFO, LIFO, FILO or LILO, which will be displayed on the map accordingly.
