How to add a trucking rate in Logistics Explorer (FTL standard rate, road haulage rate, container trucking rate)?
Go to the Rates & Tariffs tab of your Virtual Office, choose the Land tab and then Road. Select the right truck type and enter the cost of transportation in the table beneath.
Choose the country of origin and destination, then use the simple Excel-based table input place of loading and place of discharge. Set the currency, if not set – USD, will be used by default. Then set the flat rate. Flat rate is a basic minimal amount of the trucking cost, which doesn’t depend on the distance. It means that once the truck is loaded – it needs to be paid; most often, the flat rate is used within one city limit. On average, for distances over 10km, there is an additional value added on top of the flat rate, which depends on the distance. This is basically the trucking rate, and in different countries and regions, it can be from 0,4 up to 3 USD/km as for standard trucking.
The Total column will show you the total rate, which will be shown on the Platform between mentioned two points.
