SeaRates Updates - Week 52, 2020

There are some interesting features on the platform this week. We have also optimised a few of the existing elements.

Thank you for your feedback and letters as it helps us make the products flawless and change the global approach to cargo transportation.

In case you missed our previous updates, you can read them here.

Search Filter

Logistics Explorer is a platform with a search filter that allows you to find the delivery cost of any cargo for any mode of transport from point A to point B. You can place your booking online in just a few clicks.

We have also updated our filter on the homepage this week. You can now quickly find the rates, countries and ports for your shipment.

This filter can also be embedded in your website. Potential clients will intuitively understand that the filter can calculate the tariffs for transportation. They will also be able to place their bookings online.

Tracking System

This week, we made improvements to the way we work with shipping lines such as OOCL, Trans Asian Shipping Services, Nile Dutch Africa Line, COSCO, Maersk, Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), MSC, Hyundai, PIL, W.E.C. (West European Container) Lines.

Check our Tracking System here

We have added support for three more shipping lines:

● Qatar Navigation Lines (QNL)

● Meratus Line

● Indus Container Lines (IDCL)

We support a total of 82 shipping lines and 12 leasing companies. This is a great achievement because our platform is one of the few that can support so many shipping lines. Visit the updated list of shipping lines here.

We have increased the number of requests per second by 10 (you can currently make up to 400 requests in 20 seconds with one API key).

We have also increased the speed of the API key check for a faster response time (in some cases, it’s up to five times faster).

About SeaRates page

We have added a page with information about our brand.

Growth of the Digital Freight Alliance

DF Alliance members have access to a global freight forwarding network that allows them to expand opportunities for their business and meet freight partners from all over the world. The DF Alliance now has 948 members.

Members of the DF Alliance continue to provide positive feedback about the services available on the platform.

Pending Updates

Ship Schedules

We are working to provide you with alternative options to ship your cargo to the nearest ports on the closest available dates.

You will be able to search schedules based on the date or week of the year.

For example, if you are searching from Odessa to Shanghai, you can view the alternative routes:

Odessa to Ningbo

Odessa to Taicang

These options can help you decide on the right route for your shipment.

Adding Air Rates

We are working on a new feature to allow you to upload all your air rates in Excel format in just a few clicks.

We invite you to join our open group for communication on international transport activities, as well as our Telegram channel for shipping innovations and industry updates.
