SeaRates Updates - Week 32, 2023

The SeaRates team is grateful for your feedback and strong support. We are always striving to improve our platform to provide the best service possible. We are happy to present you with our updates and believe that they will be useful for you.

To stay up to date with our latest updates, be sure to check out our previous updates.

What's new for week 32:

  • Tracking System updates. We have improved the Tracking System API by transferring the data of 17000+ terminals from BIC and SMDG to the SeaRates database, complying with the DCSA standard. This way, you get more detailed information on terminals through our Tracking System API.
  • We have added a new Transport Type field to the Route API to visualize routes for multimodal shipments.
  • Also, we have improved the logic for routing in the Route API (updated Transport Type, Event Type, and Event Code fields), including for rail transport.
  • Finally, we have made enhancements to the way we work with providers, including Wan Hai, W.E.C. (West European Container) Lines, Maersk, DHL Global Forwarding, SM Line (SML), China United Lines, and COSCO.
  • Ship Schedules enhancement. We have made improvements to the way we work with providers, including the Sinokor by Points tab.
  • Logistics Explorer improvement. We have improved the user experience for our customers when filling out the Quick Request form, namely the phone number field, as it will be filled in automatically from your Profile.
  • Other updates:

We would like to inform you about our plans to improve our workflow by involving different SeaRates Departments in our weekly updates. Perhaps the following updates will be modified to cover a shorter scope in order to focus on improving the existing SeaRates tools.
