SeaRates Updates - Week 18, 2020

If you missed – we recommend to look on updates for the previous week.

Integration of Maersk Spot

SeaRates announces the integration of Maersk Spot within its digital platform for freight forwarders. SeaRates platform will now use Maersk Spot APIs, allowing customers to book and secure container space online and in real-time. This tool guarantees equipment availability and cargo loading irrespective of the peak season at a fixed price.

Maersk Line directly provides us with  discounted freight rates that are available on a particular ship and they are calculated dynamically based on the containers in the port at the terminal and based on space available on a ship.

With Maersk Spot, customers can search and receive competitive rates online 24/7. The full amount is calculated and fixed upon confirmation of the reservation, which happens instantly. This dynamic online price recorded at the time of booking creates a single transaction for the client from the offer to the confirmation of the reservation, which greatly simplifies the purchase process.

Rosoom payment processing system

We have switched to a new payment system. Rosoom is a (Centralized e-Payment Gateway) system that enables customers to make online payments for DP World, JAFZA and DMCC. Launched in 2008 Rosoom is the primary online payment gateway for the Trading Community in UAE. Click here for more information.

We have improved the Request a quote so that you can choose the appropriate type of delivery.

Step 1 - You choose a category.

Step 2 - The system automatically selects a possible transportation option for this category. The minimum and maximum weight for each transport is also indicated.

Digital Freight Alliance development

Now, almost every day, new members join DFA. Forwarding companies from the Netherlands, Romania, Turkey, China and the UAE joined us this week. It's very pleasant to get a positive feedback from members starting their journey with the logistics network of the new generation.

Stay tuned for DFA updates on LinkedIn and Twitter.
